Reference electrodes
Reference electrodes are required to carry out measurements of the relative potentials of other electrodes.
Measuring electrodes that are potential-stable, easy to handle and low-maintenance are required for recording DC/AC potentials.
The potential values recorded by these reference electrodes are required for testing the KKS protection status and therefore fall under the generic term test equipment. They are therefore subject to a high quality standard. With saturated copper/copper sulphate (Cu/CuSO4) electrons, care must be taken to ensure that the electrolyte within the reference electrode is in perfect condition.
Different types of reference electrodes can be used for the fixed installation of a reference electrode at an existing measuring point. Liquid or solid electrodes are available for different soil conditions.
